The problem I am having is that my tables are the long tables, and I do not know what to use!!!
small potted plants! votive candles! all the way down the center of the table. you could put a table runner down if you wanted and then arrange
plant, candle, plant, candle, plant – i am sure you get the idea.
you could even put some small candy dishes out with wrapped candy like werthers in them, so you would have
plant, candle, candy, plant, candle, candy etc.
the werthers are gold foil wrapped and when the candle light hits them they sparkle quite prettily! your potted plants could have the pots wrapped in foil in your wedding colors or in gold and silver foil to catch the light!
i;m not sure when you are getting married but primroses come in a number of colors and would be quite pretty on the tables and if your guests wanted they could take them home with them or not! whatever!
happy wedding sweetie!

With long tables I usually use 2 smaller centerpieces, one at each end. It’s hard to make suggestions not knowing your style, colors, tastes etc. What you should do is google wedding centerpiece pics, and you will find a ton of picture results. Print out the ones you like and go to your local craft store and buy similar materials!
Good luck!

Get sand and pour it along the middle of the tables. Then set votive candles (real or battery type) here and there in the sand. Add some shells if it’s summery or some glittery baubles to match your color theme. Cheap, cheap, cheap and will look great. You can also go to thrift stores and pick up glass vases in different but complimetary shapes and add colored water or plain water and snhippets of leaves and flowers.

how about small or medium vases, round or square… space them out everyother person
put some flowers with sturdy stems (gerberas, lilies, snap dragons… ) in them and maybe colored flat marbles from the dollar store…

or depending on when your wedding is… get mixed potted arrangements from a garden center, walmart or lowes…
wrap them in tulle or transplant in to pretty containers
then you can swap tulle or organza btwn them…. in a criss cross if you want, or like they are nested in the fabric

I was watching a wedding show once and they did the cheapest best looking centerpieces….
Buy some glass / plastic bowls like this one – http://www.wrapwithus.com/Merchant2/graphics/Pics/Thumbs/2-045fx.jpg
Fill it half way with water and float flowers, candles, and some berries… I know it sounds weird but they put rasberries in the bowl and it looked awsome!
Also, you can set the bowl on a flat mirror, and lay flowers around it on the table to spruce it up.
Just play around with it! I hope this helped!

Go to the dollar store and buy 2 or 3 small vases fill them with colored glass at the bottom, fill with water and you can get 2 dozen roses at Costco for 15.00 then put 3 or 4 roses in each vase,or put floating candles in it.

I had a friend get married a couple of years ago and she used like 12" vases (just tube vases) and put fake snow and a light in them (she had a winter-themed wedding).
You could fill them with water and use floating candles, or fill them with colored rocks and gerbera daisy or calla lily.

I like the votives down the middle idea that others have mentioned.
Some of these small square "vases" are pretty reasonable and would easily hold a votive candle:

This candle shop is, so far, the cheapest I’ve found online:
